The John H Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design project involves the renovation and expansion to the University’s facility at One Spadina Crescent. Construction work has been divided into two phases. The first phase includes renovation of the south-facing Gothic Revival building plus the construction of a 9,300 square meter new building that will house a new library, art gallery, and design studios for the architecture school.
The first phase of the Daniels Faculty’s project to transform this historic site is now well underway, and is scheduled for completion in the first half of 2015. Scaffolding surrounds the iconic structure to allow for restoration and upgrading work, which is documented in the image gallery attached. The second phase of construction will include single-level pavilions containing a café, classrooms, urban theatre, shop and gallery on the north side.
