Wild Education: Designing for Nature in the City
Appreciating nature comes naturally for most people, yet understanding the vital role that biodiversity plays in our surrounding environment can be overlooked.
Our London edition of Holcim Foundation Awards Talks spotlights a project playing a pivotal role in educating the general public on the value of bringing biodiversity into the city.
The panel discussion explores the Urban Nature Project - a five-acre site transformed into a biologically diverse green space - questioning the role initiatives like this (and the people behind them) play in better educating the public on preserving the planet.
Industry experts will delve into the value of designing for biodiversity, defining what makes sense when looking at sustainable solutions and creative ways to spread the understanding and appreciation of this topic to a mass audience.
