Christopher Lee leads the design of Serie across all offices. The practice is known for its theoretical position which emphasizes the study of building typologies and their evolution. Serie advocates careful study of historical building precedents as a basis for speculating on new solutions. With a close relationship to the AA School of Architecture and Harvard GSD, Serie has re-opened interest in this field as one of the key areas of architectural discourse.
Christopher Lee is Arthur Rotch Design Critic in Architecture at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design (GSD) in Cambridge, MA, USA (2021-). He was previously a Associate Professor in Practice and Design Critic at the Harvard GSD, Director of the Architectural Association (AA) Projective Cities MPhil Programme and AA Diploma & Intermediate Unit Master.
Christopher Lee graduated with the AA Diploma (Honors), received the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) President’s Medal Commendation Award, and his Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture and Urbanism from the Berlage Institute and Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), the Netherlands.
