He was a member of the Holcim Awards 2017 Jury for North America. He was a participant of the 3rd Holcim Roundtable 2018 held at the Institute for Lightweight Structures & Conceptual Design (ILEK), University of Stuttgart, Germany.
Dominique Corvez was previously Managing Director ÆVIA at Eiffage Génie Civil, France and was Head of Ductal® Americas, Holcim Growth & Performance, based in Chicago, USA (2013-19). Ductal® is a family of ultra-high-performance concretes that provide a unique combination of superior properties including strength, ductility, durability and aesthetics.
He graduated from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France, and holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. He is an Architect after successful studies at the École d’Architecture de la Ville et des Territoires in Marne La Vallée.
He began his career as a structural engineer at C&E Ingénierie (2007) before joining Lafarge Ductal® as an international business developer (2009). He then became Global Technical Director for Ductal® (2010) managing projects like MUCEM, Jean Bouin and Louis Vuitton and obtained the “Prix AFGC 2013” from the French Association of Civil Engineering (AFGC) for his contribution to those projects.
