Driss Kettani is a Lecturer in the School of Architecture, Planning and Design (SAP+D) at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University based in Ben Guerir, Morocco. He is also a practicing architect and Founder of Driss Kettani Architect based in Casablanca, Morocco and will be a member of the Holcim Foundation Awards 2025 jury for Middle East & Africa.

He has lectured in Morocco, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Tunisia, and France, and contributed to the WAVe (Workshop di Architettura Venezia) at IUAV University in Venice in 2014, 2019, and 2020 that brings together students, architects, and scholars from around the world to explore and address contemporary architectural challenges. He frequently serves on architecture competitions and thesis juries.

After graduating from the National School of Architecture in Rabat in 2003, he established his practice in 2005 following several collaborations and study trips. His work explores the intersection of architectural rigour and poetic sensibility, drawing on local context, culture, and the aspirations of inhabitants as essential sources of inspiration.

Among his most acclaimed works are the Taroudant University and the Guelmim School of Technology, both in Morocco and developed in partnership with architects Saad El Kabbaj and Mohamed Amine Siana. The Guelmim School of Technology was shortlisted for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2016, and his work has received further recognition with the Archmarathon Prize (Beirut, 2015) and the Mimar Sinan Prize (Istanbul, 2016).
