Ian Riley

He was previously the Greater China Country Head for Holcim (2014-19), and was also Vice President and member of the Executive Committee of Huaxin Cement (华新水泥股份有限公司) and Holcim China Country Head (2008-14). Before joining Huaxin Cement, Ian Riley was General Manager of a British project management and consulting firm, based in Shanghai and also Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

For most of his career, he worked for ECCI, a British minerals company, which has subsequently become part of Imerys. He has worked in a number of operations and general management roles in the United Kingdom, the USA, Australia and Japan. Ian Riley holds degrees in mathematics and engineering (operations research) from Cambridge University, United Kingdom.
