Luisa Pastore (Dr. -Ing.) is Scientific Project Manager at the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction where she oversees various programs offered by the Foundation to promote and democratize the latest leading-edge thinking and best practice on sustainable design and construction from around the globe.
Luisa Pastore is an architectural engineer specialized in sustainable architecture, bioclimatic design, and comfort in buildings.
She is a Lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL); Project Manager of the SWICE (Sustainable Wellbeing for the Individual and the Collectivity in the Energy transition) research project at the Smart Living Lab, EPFL; and an Impact and Sustainability Advisor at Amber Lion Partners (2021-).
Luisa Pastore completed a PhD in Architecture at the University of Palermo (2014) followed by a post-doc position at the Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID), EPFL.
Throughout her career, Luisa has produced more than 50 scientific manuscripts published in peer-reviewed journals including Architectural Engineering and Design Management, Building and Environment, and the International Journal of Sustainable Building Technology and Urban Development, as well as conference proceedings and books. She’s also co-author of two Italian patents and one Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) extended in Europe, the USA, China and Japan.
